A warrant of arrest has been issued for a sneaky Nairobi Businessman accused of battering his wife and traveling out of the country without the court’s authority.

Mr Michael Njeru, the proprietor of Transcend Media Group, will be arrested as soon as he returns from Maputo, Mozambique, Nairobi Principal Magistrate Daniel Ole Keiwa ordered.

Mr Njeru is locked in a divorce case with his wife, Anne Evelyn Wambui (Pictured with  her lawyer Philip Murgor) who claims that he repeatedly assaulted her and locked her out of their matrimonial home.

He has been ordered to surrender his firearm and license after Ms Wambui expressed fear that he could use it to harm her and their three children.

Ms Wambui filed for divorce over claims of assault, cruelty, infidelity and lack of respect in their 21-year marriage.

She is seeking Sh1,316,710 for maintenance every three months and Sh3,354,500 in school fees for their children. She also wants a Sh10 million insurance cover.

She also wants her husband restrained from accessing their matrimonial home in Lavington, or trying to throw her out.
